Silver tetartemorion Ephesos, Ionia, 546 - 500 B.C.

RARE Silver tetartemorion thus; Karwiese Series IIIa, 1, F, chipped, Ephesos mint, weight 0.177g, maximum diameter 6.3mm, obverse BEE; reverse Hoopoe (Crane) head from the Conference of the Birds.

The BEE is the ancient symbol (this is a 6th century BC coin) representing certain Sufi Orders and orders of Darwishi (Dervishes), notably the SARMOUNG BROTHERHOOD where Gurdjieff studied esoteric sciences of the Enneagram.

The bee is linked to sounds beyond sound similar to the humming/buzzing of swarming bees, as reported by many mystics of the Sufi traditions.

The bee also symbolizes the Kingdom of Lower Egypt, and the bee is found in Sufism, Islam, Ba'hai, Esoteric Kabbalism and High Egyptian Temple Magic.

The Hoopoe, or Crane, is a symbol worldwide for the concept of religiousness, the higher emotion felt by the Higher Self, when one realizes oneself to be in the Presence of the Lord.

Additionally, the Crane or Hoopoe is, in Armenian, Groong -- not coincidentally, a song now considered the National song of Armenia, written by Komitas Vartabad, the Father of the Sacred Armenian Mass, with whom Gurdjieff studied as a young man when in Kars; many of Gurdjieff's piano scores are based on Komitas, and one of his exercise pieces is, actually, Groong.

More than that -- the incuse stamp on the reverse of the coin measures out to the Enneagram, or would, if the coin were whole -- in which case, frankly, it wouldn't be available to me or to you, it'd be in a museum or locked up in some rich person's vault.

Besides all those factors, this powerful little coin buzzes so profoundly that it stands out even among other photos of other coins, and when placed on a SuperBeacon, all heck breaks loose with it, psychometrically speaking. It has LEGOMINISMS of Sacred Movements and the Sema and was certainly present at demonstrations of Sufi ritual prayer and other ancient rituals, sometime in its long, long history.

Altogether a rare and unusual artifact, with which I am not anxious to part. I have never seen its like. If you can use it and can afford the terribly high price I've put upon it to keep it out of the hands of the mildly curious, go ahead and acquire it, with my Blessings! If you'd care to donate the amount below to give it a permanent home at the Institute, that would be appreciated also.
