Tolkien's Middle-Earth is more or less set in the Dark Ages, the beginning of the Medieval Period following the Fall of Rome, the time of King Arthur and Robin Hood, although the mythology of those two historical figures didn't really begin until the 12th century A.D.
This bronze arrowhead would have been used by Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Arrowheads were valuable and recovery of them was so important that developing high skills with the bow was a total necessity. It required a blacksmith to make arrowheads of this type, although improvised heads were common back in the day.
30mm long -- a little over an inch -- trilobate, meaning three-sided, with flattened hammered sides and sharp return barbs, short socket, typical of forest hunters and archer soldiers of the 7th to 10th centuries A.D.
Is this the arrowhead you carefully wrapped onto a shaft and launched into a running deer? Or perhaps it was the missile that brought you down from an unseen enemy behind a tree or bush.
Either way, it's back. And you can use it to reconnect that past life with your present one, by placing it on your SuperBeacon.
